Moving up to the mountains: This was shot during my first ever winter nomadic migration in Western Mongolia. Every year for the last 5 years I have travelled 150km on foot across the Altai Mountains with the same family during their migration from winter to spring pastures. It has become a yearly feature of my life which involves corralling about 1000 animals for 5 days at temperatures as low as -40 degrees celcius.

Amazing experience!
Since I read the book "Wolf Totem" that describes so vividly the nomadic life in Mongolia it is on the top of my "to do" list!
I admire and envy you for this :)
