Spring has Sprung

Man, I'm so glad that spring is finally here. Snow is pretty and all for a reasonable amount of time, but there's something so freeing and exhilarating when spring rolls around each year. Just being able to sit outside in shorts and a t-shirt seems like such a luxury and I'm 100% enjoying it. Knowing Ohio weather it could always snow again next week, but for now it looks like we're in the clear!

Here are some little wildflowers of some sort that seem to be enjoying spring just as much as I am:

how long will that spring be?

It lasts a couple months and then Summer officially starts sometime in June I believe.

It would be great if you can identify the name of the flowers. They are unlike any I have ever seen and would be interested to know. Thank you for the photo and sharing.

They look similar to Buttercups, but I'm not totally sure if that's what they are or not!

It's such a great feeling to see other things coming into bloom in spring, like these fellows here; finally, life returns!

Agreed! The world seems so much more hopeful all of a sudden haha

I love it. I’m definitely out here frantically snapping iPhone photos of blooming dogwoods (I think) at rest stops with dumpsters in the background and truckers staring.

Curious, though—it looks decent here, but this is still in the shade—do you have any insight on how the Fuji handles the more dynamic color range in Spring? It was sooo good at the subtleties of winter that I found myself questioning how it would do with bright, high-contrast colors.

Haha! Show those truckers how it's done!

Good question. I haven't taken many brightly colored pictures with it so far, but that will definitely be something to keep an eye on. Fujis are known for their colors in general, so I don't think it will be an issue, but time will tell!

I don't think they are buttercups, but they sure are pretty.

Ah rats, any idea what they are then?

Not quite sure. We have some yellow flowers growing as a ground cover that look similar, but I have no idea what they are. I bought them because they looked pretty. That's a good reason, right?

Gotcha, very cool. And yes, that is the best reason I can think of! :)

Nice, dude! I'm happy for you!! Spring is so liberating and brings a smile to everyone's face- I've certainly noticed happier folks around town since our spring started! I'm really not sure what those blooms are! The leaves make me think of begonia or geranium but the blooms I have no idea. Perhaps the folks at @petals can help us identify them!
It looks like there are about to be some daffodils in the background there though which is exciting! Cheers!

Oh for sure, I've definitely got a little more bounce in my step! :)

I'm certainly no flower expert, so I defer to your more informed guess haha! Or that of these @petal people should they arrive.

Hurray! I'm all for as many colorful flowers as possible!

Enjoy the pleasant weather @yumyumseth. Nice flowers.

Thanks!

dear bro... I want to study you
