Blood Moon of the Lunar Eclipse

On July 27th 2018 we could see the Lunar Eclipse.

I was at sea so the sky was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't have a tripod so MacGyver experimentation was needed.

I took a table, put another small table on top, and put the lens of my Canon 80D on 2 books so it pointed upwards. It was fully extended at 135mm.

This was a very flimsy setup so I put the shoot delay to 2 seconds and used the LCD as a trigger (makes less vibrations). With a 2.5 second shutter speed this was the best and sharpest I could capture.

This was taken with Canon 80D and the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens.
