Vivitar 830AW

Today, while cleaning up my dad's closet, I found a contrapment that fascinated me. It was my dad's old camera- The Vivitar 830AW . It would probably have been used in the 1970s or '80s.

Men I was so excited. It was like going back in time to know the technologies that existed then. I just feel like I have all it takes to start a museum now (laughs).

Specifications

-This camera is written
24mm 1:5.6
LENS
I think it means that it has a zoom of 24mm (not sure though, I need clarification)
-It makes use of two 1.5V finger batteries
-It has a flash, eyepiece and a compartment for film.

I placed some batteries in it and couldn't get it to work yet, it was just humming. I hope I will make it work.

I wanted you to have a feel of it, so I took a picture of the steemit logo through the eyepiece. It wasn't clear. See the picture below.

Then and now

Looking at the camera, you'd know that really technological advancement is moving almost at the speed of light. Today our cameras no longer use films but memory cards. Thanks to the tireless scientists and engineers that work round the clock to make sure that things are changing. Now we are digital. But the truth is that with the way technology is moving, our kids would see the crisp clear pictures we get from our current digital cameras as blurred pictures because theirs will be far better.

Change is constant.

In memory of dad.
