#myday 12 - Insane Lighting + Fireworks Photo

in photograph •  7 years ago  (edited)

Welcome to @myday!

There is nothing quite like a celebration. Together, we have reached 100 followers!

Fireworks.jpg

This image is published straight out of camera with no editing. You can see the lighting strike over the City of Perth, Western Australia while the fireworks are exploding over the Swan River! I don't think it gets better than that!

Thank you again for following and all your upvotes! It means them world to me!

THANKYOU!

When I first joined @steemit I didn't know what I was in for, but now that I'm here I'm thoroughly enjoying it and I hope you really like reading my posts.

I'm Leigh, from Sydney Australia and through @steemit I'm seeing what its like to explore @myday. Not in any particular order, or particular time frame but just parts of @myday through my eyes and sometimes the cameras lens.

This is really amazing photo. Do you mind to post your gear and camera settings for this shot please?

@nathanjones the image was shot using a Canon EOS 1D MK III with EF17-40mm f4 lens. Shot at 17mm, 3 seconds at f5, ISO 50.

Thank you!

No problem! In future do you think I should include the information under the photo or not?

Yes, over time your work will get noticed more if you include the details.

Okay thanks for the tip!

So pleased you're enjoying this amazing Steemit journey.

Swan River: A beautiful river to overlook and to photograph. And under such special conditions. Beautifully captured.

Visited Perth a few years ago and it's one of my favourite cities in Oz. Cheers.🍷

@allyinspirit it is a great city. I grew up there and travel back at least once a year. Love it! Thank you for your comment and I hope you continue enjoying the stories from @myday

Pleasure to comment. And yes, I have the feeling that I will definitely continue enjoying your @myday stories. Long way to travel every year, but well worth it. My mother comes from Perth and so I have a heart connection to the city as well. 🍷

You did it the best. @myday.. No other than wow!

Thanks @janver06 :)

Such an epic shot!

Thanks! I got lucky with this one.

Keep that picture. Very nice shot...

Thank you @kennyroy :)

Most welcome... (^_^)

Congrats on your Steemit milestone! 💫🍾💫 Well deserved!

Thank you @artedellavita - I appreciate your support very much!

Of course! In this community we have to support each other that's how communities grow strong!⭐️

Well said!

that's a great shot ! amazing capture, congrats!

Thanks @ogmatador :)

This is really amazing, fantastic work! I know there's an element of luck in shots like these, but your level of skill is plain to see in the photo.

In addition to my macro lens, another area I don't have much experience in is night photography. The (relatively) few photos I've taken in the night don't have this level of clarity.

I'm resteeming this post, it'll be the first thing I've resteemed so far. I only want to resteem things that I genuinely think are awesome and this fits the bill! I hope you get loads of upvotes for this photo, you deserve them!

Thanks very much @parton! I feel truly honoured to be the first person you resteemed! If you ever need any photography or editing tips let me know :)

I appreciate the offer, thank you :) I would love to know how all of your comments get so many votes! Just popular I guess :)

Haha not popular at all. Just a lot of engagement. I'm new to @steemit so I'm still learning, but from what I have learned consistency is the key.

I'm trying to be consistent as well, yesterday was the first day that I've missed a post. I'm focusing more effort on increasing my follower count by interacting more and diversifying a bit. I want to get the attention of the gaming community as I'm working on my first mobile game and I'll be releasing that sometime in the coming months.

So many side projects, so little time!

Wow! You certainly are busy and have a lot going on at the moment. I wish you all the best! I highly recommend you get the esteem app. It's great if you are in the go. It's great on Android but freezes a bit in apple.

Good thing I'm an Android user then :) I'll check it out, thanks! All the best to you too, keep up the good work.

You love the app then. Later :)

Can you imagine what historians will have access to with all of our images???

Welcome to Steemit.

I can imagine. Thanks for the welcome.

I enjoy the contrasting energies going on.... nature versus man. Great catch!

Thanks very much!

Lightning right next to the firework! Great shot!

FUACK!

I wonder if leaving a hashtag will make me find it again #illbeback
