Abow on.. 3D Printing

in photography •  7 years ago

Curious if others are into 3d printing here on steemit? I use photography quite a bit for objects to post on thingiverse.
I have a few things up on the thingiverse.com website and I am creating more all the time if interested. If you are on there as well, drop me a follow and I will do the same, just like here on steemit.
I have created some things for fun but have also created things which you cannot buy, which to me makes it well worth the cost of the 3d printer (around $500 us). I have only been doing it for a few months but really like the design side of it and getting better as I go. Since I can use the same 3d software (Blender) that I was using for 3d game development it was a perfect match for me.

This was a humorous novelty print that I just created today goofing around. It is 3D Printed in lowest quality so it is not very polished and I have not cleaned it up yet.

Here is a silly splash I created for it using blender..

This next one was a replacement screen door latch I created for my parents to replace the factory one which kept dropping the screen because after a while the door ever so slightly bows. Adding 2mm onto the latch fixed the problem and it works better than the factory one.

Thanks for reading, would love to hear from other 3d printer or blender artists on here.
Abow out..
