So for quite some time every summer I would treck up to somewhere near the lake. The older I get, the more a pain in the backside it is to do. This is the first year in quite some time I decided to skip it this year and stay around home for the summer. For starters, I posted what the squirrels did to my boat, so that was out. The camper is sitting idle in my side yard but figure I can camp there any time I feel like it.. with a bathroom just up the hill!
I wanted to post some pictures of why I liked it so much. It is a wonderful experience and if you get the chance should try it.
I stayed in Sandusky, Vermillion and Huron. Each place had its own unique benefits as well as their own "not-so-benefit".
Flooding is a big concern and many years I had to make the trip up in the thaw of the winter to make sure things did not get totally wiped out. The last year I was up there, it came very close. Many people lost their campers and boat damage.
I have tons of similar pictures and may try to post more, but you can see why it was well worth heading up north here in Ohio, the scenery was usually breathtaking and having a camera along for the ride allowed me to capture some of the memories.
These were all taken in Marblehead.
Abow out..
This is normally what the sunsets looked like in Sandusky, though the pic was taken from my boat with a cell phone before I had a Nikon.. it still paints a pretty picture. :)
beatiful! good post!
