Black Leopard: Kenyan Travel

A photo of a Black Leopard taken at Laikipia Wilderness Camp in Kenya on Monday. Melanistic leopards have been reported in and around Kenya by locals for decades but British wildlife photographer Burrard-Lucas Photography was able to capture this one. One was also spotted last year at Ol Malo, Kenya by photographer @bobbyneptune . These were the first photographs of the black leopard in apparently over a century.

Obnoxiously very noctarnal and secretive; rarely seen only its dinner left overs are seen later. Preys on domesticated cattle, goats, sheep amd even human beings-and only at night. During the day you cannot find them.
