The uranium mine is located on the northern slope of Żmijowiec in the Śnieżnik Massif. It operated in 1948-1953, using several medieval tunnels, in which iron, silver and copper mining were carried out in the past. The mine consisted of 20 drifts, three shafts, and the total length of all mine workings was over 37 km. In total, 20 tons of uranium ore were extracted here.
