Earlier this year while taking some photos with my new canon T5, I spotted this huge machine that some guys hard at work were using. I was to say in the least somewhat impressed by the size of this machine and how bright orange it was. A few days prior, I was just starting to learn about telling stories with photography. So I took this opportunity to do just that; Tell the story of this Big Orange Thing and the men using it. I walked up to these guys and asked their permission to take photographs of them working. They seemed a bit surprised by the idea that someone wanted to photo them working, yet the vanity in us all, I do believe got the best of them and they said "yes " with a bit of childish excitement.
So here is my story:
Stats per photo in order:
- 1/500 s at F7.1 ISO 400 EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Prime
- 1/250 s at F6.3 ISO 200 EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Prime
- 1/250 s at F6.3 ISO 200 EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Prime
- 1/160 s at F13 ISO 400 EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Prime
- 1/1000 s at F5.6 ISO 400 EF 170mm focal length Len: canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6
- 1/800 s at F6.3 ISO 100 125mm focal length Lens: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6
I hope you enjoy the story and find the photo story interesting. I sure did :)
It is my intent to upgrade to a new camera and use steemit to do so.
I will bring many interesting photos to our community and some tips that I have learned along the way in the great and awesome world of digital photography.
It's a man-lift, about the typical size. It's hard to tell from the pictures but they might have been able to use a scissor-lift instead.
I miss working around equipment. Thank you for sharing.
