Few communities are connected by road, the longest distance you can travel by car in Tasiilaq is just 3 kilometres. The small town is a popular starting point for adventure travel on Greenland due to its proximity to an international airport. It’s also a favoured connection point for glaciologists working on some of the glaciers in the region, that will calve icebergs like this one.
