My uncle has a dslr by Nikon and he does alot of pictures of concerts. He has a pretty good selection of lenses so I say anything that can help or enhance your pictures go for it.

Hey Craig, You have the money to spend! So I suggest you get a full frame body. For Canon the 5d mark iii is excellent. Great lenses on Great camera bodies make great art!

One thing about the cannon is that its huge. I was thinking of a sony a7r2 or a6500 body so i can carry it around easily!
