ColorChallenge FridayBlueSky - Teignmouth, Devon England - British Seaside Town circus in town [photography]

Not many more of these to go, days like this in the summer I mean. I've posted one before, but for my Friday Blue Sky challenge I thought I'd just throw them all in together - here we go.

At the mouth of the estuary of the River Teign there are a few little beaches and areas of recreation and interest, and on a beautiful weekend day like this was, plenty is going on around the waters edge.

Living in this part of Southwest England, Devon, we are blessed with some of the most outstanding natural beauty. I think the pictures should speak more than I ....

Looking the other way, east along the coast

Just fabulous, reminds me why I love home ...

See the big cliff in the first photo? Well here we've got back in the car and driven to the other side, now looking down on the scene. In the water, you can see a yaught being towed back to safety by the lifeboat after what appeared to be a ripped sail!!

My old friend drove us there in his nice new car (new to him). He told me about how hard he'd been working and supporting his wife and kids, I said he more than deserved this nice car. We had a great chat, old buddies catching up (it had been 3-4 years, we studied at Uni together 20years ago!).

The circus was in town, we made a lot of jokes about running away with the circus ... until almost seriously thought hmmmm ... maybe! And we also used to joke who was made for the circus back in our uni days ... A LOT! (We were both young clowns)

And the lucky clowns get to live places like this, and just move on to the next when they are ready! Maybe should really have been a clown :(
