jurien.jpg

This photo was taken whilst standing on top of one of the pillars of the old jetty in Jurien Bay, Western Australia. I spent about an hour on this jetty before the end of the day in the hope to photograph the sunset. I was anticipating an amazing shot of the sun going down with the jetty in the foreground, but nature had another plan that evening. A mass of cloud started moving across the horizon and smothered the orange globe just as it was touching the sea. The light merely faded like a flashlight with a dying battery.

I never got my sunset that evening, but when I looked back at my photos this one really caught my attention. This is just such an amazing location. There is something deep about the history of that spot that speaks to the soul. I will return one day and get my sunset.

Photo taken with a Samsung Galaxy S7.
