Last Day to Submit Landscape Photos to be Painted, + Steem to Give

Steemians! I'm on the lookout for awesome landscape pictures to paint to help sharpen my game. Six days ago I posted the call and set the deadline for a week, so you still have all day to share your photos with me. You can find the details here as well as a few results of asking permissions with some photos over the last few weeks so you can get an idea what I'm up to. I'm very pleased how they came out and can't wait to keep pushing myself with your help!

Over the last couple years I've been practicing landscapes (I started as a realistic portrait artist), and it's really helping me achieve the impressionistic look I've always admired because it requires a certain amount of simplification. The landscape below is one I did in 2016 from a photo I took in Rocky Mountain National Park. It's a larger painting at 20"x20" and quite a bit of time poured into it, but I was not as brave with my colors. One of my painting professors told me that it's easier to start a bit crazy and tone it down than it is to play it safe and then try to liven it up. That's always ringing in my head when I'm working on a painting.

This is one of the Steemit user images I was given permission to use that I finished a couple weeks ago, and you can see how much more playful I am with colors (and I want to push it more). It helps to have references with really dynamic lighting, so if you have any shots like that please enter!
