A few weeks ago, I shared my first post on scalloping. In case you missed it, I will give you a quick rundown on how it works.
We basically out a mile or so out from a freshwater river on the coast of Florida. We bring snorkels and diving fins, and start snorkeling around looking for the scallops. The water is usually about 4-7 feet deep, depending on which spot we decide to hang around.
Scallops are very delicious, and I have a lot of fun diving for them!
I carry the yellow bag that is pictured below underwater to store each of the new scallops I find, and then every now and then I will swim back to the boat to dump out the bag and get a quick breather.
Here is a picture of my co-worker and I out on the water with some of the scallops we scooped:
This is very fun and I would highly recommend trying it out if you are ever in the Central Florida area during scallop season.
Stay High,
just awesome
