Picture of the day: Mount Kumgang

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

Mount Kumgang, as seen from my hotel room. Like Mount Paektu, this is one of Korea's 6 holy mountains. It has been known for its scenic beauty since ancient times. It officially has four different names for each season -- Kumgangsan ("san" meaning mountain) in the spring, Pongraesan in the summer, Phung'aksan in the fall, and Kaegolsan in the winter

Quite a view from your room!!

That looks majestic! Thank you for sharing, What kind of fish live in those waters? Is there a lot of fish there for people to eat? The best thing about this photo, is the fact thats its a massive, vast span of land, with no human made buildings, cars, etc....Thanks for your time!

um , the picture just changed....lol

Sorry I accidentally uploaded the wrong picture, which was in my last post!
