This has been the case with imgsafe.org for a while. I've been checking a few times a day for several days. In the meantime I'm using imgur.com, but I'm bummed, because I'm posting on Steemit again after several non-posting weeks (it happens), but during those weeks I have been editing and preparing photos to post, and saved many prepared photos on imgsafe. I like imgur.com, too, it's fine, great, but I just learned a new lesson - save my prepared photos in more than one place!

Anyone else bummed by this? Or have thoughts/ideas, or favorite, reliable, cloud photo repositories?

Another question I've had comes to mind, because these two storage sites are an example: isn't a .org specific to a non-profit, while a .com is specific to commerce? Such as imgsafe.org vs. imgur.com? A few weeks ago, I decided to see about registering my cats as service animals (because I NEED them!), and anyone can declare their pet as a service animal, I learned. Of course we know the infinite benefits of dogs for people with all kinds of disabilities - and cats are the same, they just support their humans in different ways relatively than dogs, but no less important to their people. So I called this .org site about my cats, and they wanted $80 bucks to register each cat, which is cool - they have to run their service, but when I asked the girl if this was a non-profit organization due to the .org suffix in their address, she had to ask a supervisor, and NO, it was not a non-profit! So.. is that the case with a .org or not, should it be non-profit? Was this a case of false advertising? What is a .org?

Paint, who is a non-profit, helping:

Thank you, Steemit,

How is it possible that in old Steemit posts with photos saved on imgsafe.org them are still visible!!?

Great question, thank you, oneshot, for replying! Checked, my other posts w imgsafe are fine. Their page has that error code and:
Web server is down / Browser Working / Chicago Cloudflare Working / imgsafe.org Host Error
Which made me think it was them, not me. However, I have been using a vpn for the first time recently. The vpn hasn't caused me any other trouble though.

So maybe they have "inbound and outbound", different, servers? Idk.

I understand that there were Alien photos the secret agencies didn't want on the internet but that's no reason to shut the rest of us down. Look Steem needs an internal solution.
