Photo session: The "GOLDEN HOUR" & Sunflower patches

in photography •  7 years ago

Hello Steeeeeeemy people,
Yesterday a friend from my photography class asked me to join him in going to a sunflower patch so he could take photos during "Golden hour" or as some people call it "Magic hour"

What is this magical time of day?

According to google: In photography, the golden hour is a period shortly after sunrise or before sunset during which daylight is redder and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky.

Our sunset time was around 8:30 pm ( 20:30) - so we came around 7:00 (19:00) and took some photos until the heat became unbearable. Enjoy!

Here is the photographer himself - he asked me to reacquaint myself with the ole canon so he could get some shots too -

He wanted the photographs to have a vintage vibe to them & I think he captured it well.

So if you love the warm glowing sunlight making an appearance in your photographs, google when your local "golden" hour takes place!

For anyone wondering: the groovy shades can be found at Forever 21.

Until next time,

Daizy
