Let The Reflection Be Your Friend - Cityskapephotography

in photography •  7 years ago

Sometimes when you try to take a photo through a window the reflection will ruin everything. When I was visiting Shanghai this weekend I was so irritated because I had such a great view but the window reflection was impossible to get rid off. In the end I realized I could use the reflection Instead of trying to get rid off it. Here the reflection makes it look like I'm superimposed on the tall skyscraper.

That turned out to be pretty cool.

Thanks ! it really turned out cooler than I could have anticipated:)

Great shot, Dan! I wish I was able to travel freely, internationally. But at least I can see things on my laptop from great photography posters like you.

That's the great thing about Steemit - each day we can see so many places all over the world . How come you don't travel if you don't mind me asking ?

The insulin pumps, novalog, about 10 different medications to keep my kidneys and other things working. Im alive, Im just not "living". Trying to travel internationally with all of that medication would be a nightmare in itself. The novalog has to be kept under regrideration, and at $770 a vial, its not something you want to waste, while waiting in line for a TSA checkpoint. Maybe I should post some pics of the wild animals and sunsets and sunrises, misty morning meadows and oak tree hammock tunnels on steemit. I had a small owl land on my front door handrail, and he wouldnt leave, he just stared at me for about 20 minutes, then flew off. Some people believe thats a bad omen. I think he just wanted to eat a rat or frog or something. I was going to put some leftover turkey outside for him, but i was afraid he might claw my eyes out. I found one in the road, a few years ago, he had been hit by a car, and I brought him inside, and put him in a cage, and fed him fried chcicken and meat scraps until he could fly again. After a few weeks he got better- but I always wore a set of glove when I handled him and safety glasses. I fed him one last time and put his cage outside, open the door, and he flew out, then back in the cage, then back out into a tree, and I left him a picece of fried chicken on the ground, then never saw him again. He stood about 2 feet tall, he was a pretty big bird, and his talons were no joke.

Wow two feet ! That's quite big indeed - very interesting animals.

Sorry to hear about your condition and I hope that medical research can come up with new better solutions to solve it.

It sounds like you are already living in a very magical place. They say that the grass is always greener on the other side but we all know it comes down to appreciating what we already have .

It Looks Really cool - Did the Owl get used to you ?

He sat there, for about 20 minutes, just looking at me. Anyone can use the picture if they want. I bought 3 lenses off Amazon, made by "AUKEY" that fit over your cellphone camera, but I havent used them yet. When I do, I will send you some pictures, that you can hopefully profit from, Dan

Awesome thanks 🙏

Nice shot. You should so try to put up a Batman sign at night... It'll look cool :)

Shanghai is very cool city, I was over there few years back. Enjoy.

Shanghai is really super cool - I can't wait to go again

Good morning

Great, is that really the reflection?

Myself holding the camera is the reflection

Great reflection of the photographer superimposed on the muse ! Surreal and philosophical :)

thank you sometimes "accidents" can add rather than take away from the end result

Very true :)
