Shanghai Skyline- Cityskapephotography

in photography •  7 years ago

So this past weekend I went to Shanghai and the weather was awesome. I was able to go to the Bund - which is where the river runs through the city. Standing on the opposite side of the river I was able to capture what I believe to be one of the coolest cityskapes in the world.

The photo was taken with my IPhone SE. This is my submission for @juliank #cityskapephotography.

What is your favorite cityskape ?

It's amazing to see what they've built there!

Its definitely quite a feat ! I heard that they built an average of one floor every three days - that to me is remarkable- you could basically watch it grow

I hope i can visit one day shangai
What should I put on my lisy to see first

Wow. There is so much. I would first go to the Nanjing pedestrian road - it's a stress buzzing with life and activities. At the end of the street you get to this view which is amazing . Then I would cross the river to the other side and go to the skybar in Jinmao Tower. The view is incredible on the 85th floor !

After this you can go to the more traditional looking yuyuan garden. Very traditional buildings and markets.

The frenzy concession is also cool with the mix of old French architecture and Chinese

The City of the City that you have taken the picture, I think the city has a better quality because of the river next to the city and you have photographed from the right place thanks to sharing a great city photography among us.

Thanks for your nice comment !

Wow!! Just take a look at those skapes there.. Such a beauty. Your photography was dope.
I give much credit to the engineers that constructed those buildings

Me too - it's quite a feat to do that . I can imagine the architect who made the design must feel quite proud of the accomplishment

WOW that is an amazing cityscape, awesome shot my friend

It is gorgeous. I love cityscapes! Two of my favorite are New York City, in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge (or coming into the harbor ) and Istanbul is another of my favorite.

I love the iconic image you show. It is a view I am familiar with and it is quite striking.

By the way, I just noticed that I had somehow lost the handshake with you, which is why I never saw your posts anymore in my feed. I finally fixed it. Have a great day! tip!

Nic post

That really is an iconic skyline. Incredible shot! I'd have to go with NYC for my favorite skyline, but I think Hong Kong might be a close second.

Yea New York is really a powerful skyline as well - and yes Hong Kong with the mountains and the buildings scattered across it is nothing short of spectacular as well

Very cool shot!!
I always like the Rotterdam skyline when you come driving up over the bridge. Its not so mega mega compared to shanghai, but still cool!

Each skyline is beautiful in its own way. This one is special because it looks kind Of futuristic- but I really enjoy the mix of both modern and old buildings as well

it is quite a magnificent skyline when the smog isn't around, although i dont know if id care to go for a swim in the river

Hahah you are absolutely right! As for swimming 🏊 I would definitely not reccomend it or you will come up of the water looking like an octopus 🐙

awesome city horizon ! Futuristic :)

Do you think you'll start using steepshot for your photograph posts? Pros/Cons if you've evaluated?

I haven't really evaluated it too much, I just don't really see the difference of posting it through steepshot vs Steemit . What do you think ?

I don't use instagram or twitter, etc, so I'm not big on picture taking/posting apps - and especially not my thing to post anything online much. I plead ignorance here.

Well before Steemit I basically just used Facebook- but that was years ago. I think I'm married to Steemit now hehe

This is an amazing skyline. I really hope to see it one day

Shanghai is definitely worth a visit, it's an amazing city and a melting pot of different cultures. On the exact opposite side of this skyline you have very old buildings which where built when the British where settled there. If you ever go there let me know and I can reccomend many cool places there

travel very nice, i really like posting @dandesign86
