The subject of this weeks challenge is "desolation". This image is from a shoot at an old abandoned parking lot in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The place was completely empty and devoid of nearly all life with only a few weeds to suggest the sun visits. Even most of those weeds were dead.
Parking garages are already a bleak and sterile place, with all utility and function lost; a parking garage becomes a very desolate place.
What a lonely form it has.

I really enjoy the color version. The patterns in the fabric draping down from the parking structures stand out much more in the color shot.
