Ilford HP5 Plus 400 Black and White Film - Review and Results

in photography •  6 years ago

It was really fun shooting with this film. Specially when taking it out one afternoon for a round of street and nature photography.

I was very impressed with the results. I enjoyed the high contrast images combining the very dark blacks with the very bright white in the image. My best results were taken with slower apertures, but you can still get very dreamy and vintage looking photos using faster apertures.

The sample photos shown in the video were shot using my old fully automatic Vivitar V3000s camera at 150 shutter speed and just changing the aperture. From my experience, this film works best with plenty of light. Give it a shot!
