A Cyanotype Portrait

in photography •  7 years ago

I love historical photographic processes, and the cyanotype process may be the easiest one to get started with. This is a portrait I shot digital and then inverted to a negative in Photoshop, then I printed it on a transparent film. To make the print I simply lay the film on top of a paper coated with the cyanotype solution, and sandwich it between two glass plates, and set it out in the sun to expose.
