Let's have a look together today at probably one of the best maintained buildings of the Roman empire.
It was build nearly 2000 years ago. Nowadays it is used as a church and we can't know exactly if it was once a Roman temple or a magnificent building of the ruler.
Fun fact: it has a hole at the top to get some light in (nowadays it is covered by glass). For more than 1,500 years it was the biggest cupola ever built. It was a kind of masterpiece of engineering.
