Water of Life

Spending time in nature is something most people in the world of today don't do enough, it is so easy to get caught up in our own little bubbles of work, social life and technology. Mental illness and stress levels are higher than ever, for many reasons, one reason being this distance we create between ourselves and nature.

What we find beautiful varies an enormous amount from one person to another, however one thing we can all share is the beauty of nature in its many forms. For me spending time in nature gives me a sense of freedom and gives me a place where there are no worries, I can just sit blissfully watching the world go by, floating free.

Finding a spot where you can just let everything go has a vast importance, sometimes not thinking is the best way to solve a problem, and the best way to de-stress is to let go and being in a part of nature that you love is the best way to do these things.

When you find an area of nature that resonates with you, whether that be boating down a river, walking through a field, sitting in the woods surrounded by ancient trees or sitting atop a mountain, it gives you a profound sense of calm almost unexplained however once you find it you will know.

For me the place I find resonates with me is simply kayaking up and down the river themes, if I'm lucky I manage to find a day where no one else is on the river allowing me to just float around usually with a good soundtrack in my headphones and on they odd occasion a joint in my mouth.
