Practice photography for eBay listings. Feedback welcomed

in photography •  7 years ago

eBay can be a tricky place to sell so one thing I want to do before I start selling full time is practice my photography to make my listing stand out.

I got this purfume bottle that I just happened to have lying around set up my white drop and started taking photos.
I went close and further a way, one thing i have been reading is to show imperfections on any item your selling so that they don't get returned.

I aslo read that eBay would rather protect the buyer than the seller and this makes me as a seller very nervous, there are other platforms i could use but eBay seems to have more people there wanting to buy than anywhere else.

So I will be taking advatage of what I have learned at college over the past 8 months and try to put it in to action with my photos for my listings.

these are the 6 I chose to show case in tonights post
If you could tell me what you think that would be amazing as I would like feed back on if there is anything else I could do to improve on my amature skills.

Brilliant info and your photos look fine too me. It is a hard job selling on eBay full time and you are completely right eBay does often like to side with the buyer. But your on the right track if as you say you are showing the imperfections on your items. As long as you describe the item and photo it to a reasonable standard, you shouldn't have too many returns. I sell approximately 150-200 items a month and I usually get about 1-2 returns each month, so about 1%, which is not bad at all. Keep up the posts, upvoted and followed :)

Thank you for your reply, I was starting to think that nobody reads my post with the lack of comments.

With your selling do you do it as a shop or private that is something I am struggling to decide. with how much I am wanting to do I don't want to be limmited to how much I can sell.

thanks for the encoragement followed too
