YAPASCUA

It is located in the Carabobo State, passing the town of Patanemo! You can go by boat or walking, although for this moment it is supposed to be forbidden to go, anyway ... But anyway we were walking! It is an experience that I always wanted to live! I had never been in my childhood on this little paradise, and it makes me feel a little sad because I suppose a few years ago this space was more virgin and had a more lush nature, full of life in every aspect ... I was the end of week of my birthday (October 31 witches), I wanted to venture a little to a place where I had few references, and did not know how to get there exactly!

The trip from a start maybe was badly organized, I did not know exactly how many we would go! I did not plan the seasons, not enough cash ... By then I had taken 250 mils in cash. As the economy here changes so much, I explain, at that time that was a money to my point of view .. Already currently April 25, 2018 is not worth even a lunch. That's how it is changing!!

In short, we had the cash, our tents, some food, and our belongings among these my camera which obviously was going to the trip with me!

Our trip began in Caracas la Bandera, to catch a bus to Valencia .... After a huge queue that seemed infinite, we arrived in Valencia around 4-5pm, with another longer line to take the bus to Valencia. hair port! It was so long and it was so late, that we considered for a second to take a taxi because our idea was to arrive to Yapascua that same day and it was already night ... We searched and searched and it was impossible to get something basically economic. The taxi drivers wanted to charge Patanemo from Valencia the 250 thousand bolivares that we had in our pocket in cash.

So we do not want another, wait for the truck ..

After about two hours, there was still a lot of queue ... and something happened that changed our night ... A pirate bus appeared, and people ran desperate, between those I (almost fell) and my panas ... We were able to get together and finally go to Puerto Cabello at 8-9pm.

Arriving in Puerto Cabello, you are supposed to take the truck from the town to Patanemo, but at that time there was no one working except the taxi drivers! For our luck, one of them was a very kind and charismatic gentleman, who offered to take us for an affordable price! And finally that night we reached at least the beach of Patanemo, beach that I told you before in one of my post!

There we already felt calm and we could camp and sleep, for the next day go to Yapascua.

As I mentioned we did not know exactly the route to go to Yapascua, but asking, the same inhabitants of the town told us how to walk through the mountain, which was the route that everyone used!

DSC00384.JPG

They said between 30-40 min of walk, but in fact it was more ... About an hour walking .. In fact there was a moment where we were all scattered and I felt I had lost! Of course it was because I did not know the route but it is always a single path, practically without loss ... Although it is not a good idea to separate, my mistake and I do not commit it again ... After the fatigue and the fear that maybe I had lost, I came to this small pool, where there was nobody, only us.

Being there, if I'm honest I lived many emotions ... Experiences that I would like to repeat and others that definitely do not!

It was 2 nights, 3 days that I felt it was a week.

The weather was not the one that was waiting for me at that time, it was always cloudy and with something cold, besides the most epic storm that I have lived ... Unfortunately I could not record it because it was so much that I preferred to leave my camera well stored in my bag ... In that islita there are not too many trees so there was no where to shelter and everything was prone to soak. So it was! All our things got really wet! All the sheets, clothes, and things were wet and cold!

I remember that it was so cold, it was better to be all the rainy hours in the water and not in the tents! And yes, it was stormy hours. But it was a unique experience in every way, I felt in a movie of love, hate, and magic! because it is a magical and beautiful place!

I would love to come back soon, but this time to take more pictures, to live longer, and above all, to help this little paradise, which needs our help ... I do not know precisely what way, I think, provided that let's not ruin our landscapes anymore is enough. I would like to plant thousands of colorful trees in this place ... To give shade and shelter in the rains, color, life, air to breathe and all the good that attracts!

I hope it will be soon, and Yapascua will wait for me ... That the magic that remains will not be extinguished ... That's all I want.

(Take plenty of water, much of ours went alone on the way to the beach! We had to go by boat to buy more drinks ... For our luck the gentlemen of the boat helped us to make this much easier , since to repeat that trip many times walking, it was not the best option CRÉANME, and I have a lighter, I DO NOT HAVE to make bonfires, it is not an option in this place.)

PD: NOT ONLY IN MALDIVES, HERE IN YAPASCUA YOU LIVE THE EXPERIENCE OF THE NATURAL PHENOMENON, bioluminescence, that is, the capacity that certain living organisms have to produce light. In this case, the beach of Yapascua, presents this show clearly not with the same intensity, but it is probably due to pollution, as people who had gone before have told me that this phenomenon was more intense in the past, literally a starry sea ... Without a doubt the most beautiful part of this experience was living this ...
