The first summer we lived in our house, I tried to cut out a lot of overgrown areas before I really knew what was. Amazingly, even though I cut this wisteria vine to the ground, thinking it was weed, it grew back last year. I spent a lot of summer time learning about different flowering plants and buying some wisteria vines to plant around our property. Not until I planted them, I realized the similarities between their leaves and realized the mistakes I made. Imagine my excitement when I discovered that this beautiful (but currently dwarf-sized) vine develops two racem buds of purple wisteria this year! Thankfully I did not kill this beautiful plant, but it made me wonder what else
I might pull before I knew better.
Although in the frame of B & W this flower still looks beautiful and luxurious.
