First test drive with my new Sigma 50-100mm f/1.8 Art, and my initial thought about it. Most of the pictures are taken with an ISO 100 and an aperture around 2.2, and no tripod. _{And I know, I just got the previous lens a month ago, don't judge me, I just want to make more good pictures for you.}

My main reason for buying this lens was the image quality, which I've already used to with the lenses baby sis 18-35mm, and I just wanted a little more reach and this Sigma seemed to be the only option for excellent quality, when paired with a crop sensor camera. The selection is very limited for crop body cameras, but I'm glad Sigma has our backs and makes a few professional quality lenses for us.

This lens is MASSIVE, weighing around 1.5kilos, so over 2 kilos with the Nikon D7200 camera body. It doesn't have image stabilisation, which I was quite worried about because I prefer taking pictures without a tripod when I'm out and about. You definitely have to have steady hands and up the shutter speed, but what you lose in that, you gain with that insane 1.8 aperture all through out the zoom range. _{Note to self: don't drink mugfuls of dark roast coffee on an empty stomach and then go shoot with this beast, that caffeine shake is not helping!}

The image quality is insane, just look at the pictures, they are pretty big so if you want to take a closer look, you can. I already know I will have a lot of use for this lens, but because of it's weight, it's not something I could use all day every day, it would break my tiny wrists.
