Private Property

Exploring and location scouting somewhere in Espoo, Finland. We ended up in a somewhat eery looking area in a small lakeside, which looked liked it was once used on as a popular outdoors area to visit. A few "private property" signs and fences along the way, but we didn't care because everything looked so abandoned. Old paths and small roads grown in, the nature taking over. Ruins of wooden docks and bridges, lots of benches, a few fireplaces and even an apple garden, but surprisingly no signs of houses, not even a foundation left anywhere.

I love places like this, hidden gems for me. So close to the city and freeway, but hidden just under the radar of most people. In my mind, I get a weird sense of ownership when I end up in places like this, where surely not that many people roam. Special places that fill my mind with stories and I dream of owning this land and making it my Narnia and Secret Garden.

Shot with the Nikon D7200 and Nikkor 35mm f/1.8.

My name is Eve and I stole a fruit, a forbidden fruit. You already know how this story continues...

You have a bit of pioneer spirit it sounds like. The possibilities of places like that excite me too. Love that weird wire gate and tire swing.

Maybe I’m just really curious 😁 There was wired fence going around the area in a a couple different places, someone must have been really strict with their property lines.

It's like a photos from the horror movie.😱

Good, that is what I wanted them to look like!

the black and white make the post!
That gives it more feeling for the abandoned property.

More eerie and ethereal!

Agreed, the lush greens and sunny day didn't work too well for the spooky vibe in photos :P

you've got a good eye and always edit well...
trust your instincts, they usually work out great!

Thank you very much ☺️

It doesn't look abandoned, it looks like a magical place.

Magical forest kingdom, but not our kingdom, I think I saw the ruler of this one. Might share a picture of the royal couple, though I didn't get a great one with only a 35mm lens.

I think all posts are the best of your post.

That is a stupid thing to say to try and kiss my ass.

I could see nice owner before ;) !
So cool pixs you took.

The black and white surely makes the pics look eerie, looks like a fine place to visit though.

I love black and white. I started with it before digital cameras exist. It has a twilight zone feeling lol
