Strange things happen when you are not looking.

One spring you get this lovely double colour Violet plant. Pretty white flowers and with patches on the petals.
They bloom, grow nicely and look very happy.
Then they go have their rest without any new flowers growing.

Next time the flowers open they are all blue!
No, I did not confuse the plants. I have them all signed. Eh... At least it is not another white one.
Then again... you never know what will happen next spring :p

I still like it. The colour is nice and nothing like I already have. So it will stay with me. And I just adore the sparkly petals.

In case you didn't know they are super easy to propagate. If one of your friends has one, ask for a leaf, stick it in a light soil on an angle and water gently from time to time. About 2-3 months later you will see babies pop :)

Beautiful! At me from 3 there was only 1 violet ... At us for it or her it is hot. I hope that it blossoms.

They do not like hot or too much sun. Maybe put them on a north facing window.

Unfortunately, we do not have a north window ... We have windows facing only south and west. I hope that it survived, it will be able to adapt ... because the heat is approaching!

Do not leave it on the sun. Put it away from the window. The sun will burn the leaves.

Thank you! The violet does not stand in the sun, it's just that we're hot.

These are my grandmother's favorite plants. She still has two or three on the windowsill, but once she had a lot of them. Super photos.

Thank you! Seems like they are typical windowsill flowers :) We always had them at home. But mostly navy blue ones.

Beautiful. I especially like that last macro shot with the sparkles.

Thank you! They are like sugar made with all the shine :)

Perhaps the nursery gave them some supplement that produced more white

I dunno how that works. I read that they might change a colour when they get stressed for some reason. Pity though :(

Acidity or alkalinity of the soil can play a role. Also, sometimes plants have been hybridised and the hybridisation isn't stable. Then the plant reverts its colour

Love violets and so easy to grow and maintain. :)

That is very true :)
