A male Pheasant is a beautiful bird. Whean i was a child i was collecting the feathers of several different birds, the long tail feathers from the Pheasant where one of my favorite ones. We had a dung hill from the neighbor, who was a farmer, directly attached to our ground border. On this dung hill you could find several birds trying to catch worms, bugs and other insects. Also the pheasants where looking for food there very ofte. This is why i found several feathers of them, and i was really proud to put them on my hat. My grandfather was a hunter and appreaciated my collection every time he visited our house.

I think i inherited the love for animals and the nature from him. As a hunter he was very often just watching the animals, but sometime he brought home some wild living animals to eat. My grandmother prepared them. Unfortunately i started my wildlife photography love after my grandfathers dead. He would be very proud of me and he could have showed me several nice places for taking pictures of Capricorns, chamois, deer, badger, beaver and so on.
