St Mary's Cathedral Sydney

in photography •  7 years ago

We visited St Mary's cathedral at night as they were having some sort of light show. It showed a couple of Christmas animations wishing everyone a happy Christmas.

Lots of people were in attendance gazing in awe at the wonderful show. There were people taking selfies, photo hobbyists out in force with a tripod in tow.

I had a great chat with another hobbyist while I was taking these photos. She was very interested because I was taking photos from the ground up. You see, I am using a gorilla pod which is a tripod with short legs that wraps around objects.
She probably just started with photography.

This time of the year is a great time to visit St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney. As the day turns to night, the summer weather turns bearable. Night time in Sydney is the best to get away from the summer 37 degree heat.

As always, click on photos for high res.

St. Mary's CathedralI love this photo as I was really lucky that the girl stayed long enough to get a proper exposure. Really gives some kind of scale as she gazes at the light show.

Great images. The night sky provides a beautiful background.

Yeah the dark sky is a great contrast to the colors. Cheers.
