Another View Of My Brew (Original Photography)

Howdy!

It's been a busy week, so far. I headed home to Rochester to be a stripper...

Not that kind of stripper! I was helping my mother strip wallpaper, to prepare a room for painting! Anyway, after a few hours of squirting DIF and peeling wallpaper, it was time for one of my Dad's home brews. This was a kit called "Round Table." It is also my contribution to #wideanglewednesday.

Warped Ale
This is a summer ale and is fairly light in color, with a good hoppy flavor. It's a tad on the bitter side, but still pretty well balanced. As for the first photo, I went or ultra-wide and as much warp as possible!

Looking Up!
Check out the head on this one! Sometimes, rogue yeast manages to get in a bottle and can add a little uncertainty to the experience. While there was no violent explosion this time, it was extremely foamy. The odd yeast strain doesn't seem to have affected the flavor at all, though!

Cumulonimbus!
With a little careful pouring, the head almost looks like a cumulonimbus cloud... or maybe an ice cream cone! After a few minutes, it sank back into the calibrated pint glass, reverting to it's tasty, liquid state.

Is There A Genie In There?
Granted it's not the clearest shot, but light was becoming scarce. This is a view through the top of the bottle, focused on the foam below. It's the view you would see, if you were shrunk down to the size of a smurf and attempting to steal a sip. Do smurfs like beer? Hrm...

Oh too funny! And here I thought the only way to get wallpaper off was to burn down the house???
Made me laugh mentioning that there was no violent explosion, lol, I remember growing up with only 1 bathroom in the house which was downstairs where (of course) was where the exploding beer was. Only the brave would go downstairs, lol.

Thanks! Yeah, this DIF stuff really made things a lot easier. Not that I'm a professional wallpaper remover, by any stretch of the imagination.

As for the beer... I'm starting to think I should record video when I open them. My dad's home brewing process has gotten a lot better, but every once in awhile a bottle gets a rogue strain of yeast from the air. Previous results have been, well, interesting. I had one send the bottle cap to the ceiling and spray my kitchen with a nice coat of porter. Cleanup took awhile!

So far, we haven't had any so pressurized the bottles burst. That sounds exciting! lol

Are you sure you didn't have one too many of those brews and do a little stripping lol. I'm not a drinker but it looks pretty. Some nice foam action going on there. :)

Ha! Well, the wallpaper removal wasn't actually too bad, just time consuming. That DIF enzymes destroy the wallpaper paste and the paper peels right off. Of course, my mother did a good job sizing and preparing the wall, when it was put up 25 years or so ago, which makes a big difference in removal.

although I am not a drinker I see the above foam image like see vanilla ice

Nice Picture fotosdenada ! :D
