Went to visit the Botanic Gardens in Delft. It's a very nice and clean place to gather your thoughts and get some inspiration by nature. By the way: Wheelchairs are no issue!!
It's open from Monday till Saturday from 10.00 - 17.00.
Getting there
It is located on the premises of the Technical University near "Bouwkunde". You can visit the garden for a small fee (Euro 6) and just wonder around for half a day.
The Entrance
Once you parked your car at the free parking called "Zuidplantsoen" or (using the City Shuttle) gotten out at the stop "Botanische Tuin TU Delft" you will see the entrance.
You can get in for free if you have a 'museumjaarkaart" or you are younger than 5 years old. Otherwise the maximum you will pay is 6 euro's which really isn't that bad.
Layout
You can easily wonder around the garden using interconnecting paths. There are even some greenhouses you can visit and see some exotic plants and creatures.
The Garden
I will just show you some pictures i made of the area.
Animals
The garden is also home to some animals. Some are an intrinsic part of the garden, others... well you never know when you run into some cool bugs :)
If you come to visit Holland do give the Botanic Gardens in Delft a chance. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did !!
