San Francisco is known for many things, including it's historic cable cars. San Francisco's cable cars are not the most efficient way to see the city, but riding them is a must for first time visitors. I'm pretty sure I would not have been allowed to leave the city without doing it. And since half the reason I like to travel is to photograph my destination, here are a few of my pics.
After over 150 years, the cars are still turned by actual people.
I thought this was a sign telling me all the fun things I could do on the cable car. Turns out they are just safety guidelines. The SFMTA really knows how to take the fun out of it.
