Adiu Quarry - Part 2

in photography •  5 years ago

My last post was about Aidu quarry in Eastern Estonia. Today I have more photos to show you from another place of this quarry.
As we were done exploring the highest hill of this place, we wanted to move forward to see another place. We drove around 3 kilometers to reach another location with a lake and hills. The road was pretty horrible and had some deep potholes. When you are driving fast enough and have a slow reaction time you will probably smash your wheels and suspension.

I wanted to find my way to a little bit further to climb up to these gravel hills and hopefully get a better view around the area.
Fortunately, I managed to do it. It wasn't easy to climb em because the surface was loose and I had to be pretty careful to not fall down of the steep sides.

Up there I saw a mountain that seemed like a pretty nice place to hike on.

This is actually the highest man-made mountain in Estonia. After we were done with Aidu quarry, I drove near this mountain only to realize that we were not able to climb it. It was surrounded by a fence and it was not abandoned like most of the mountains are. Such a shame, the view would have been amazing.
