A baby Sumatran Elephant, stands near her mother at CRU in Aceh Jaya, Aceh. The Indonesian Elephant Conservation Forum recorded 150 elephants killed since 2012 until 2016.
The population of elephants has decreased drastically by 70% in 20-30 years. In 1980, sumatran elephant populations is around 4800-5000, decreased to about 2800 in 2013. Now, sumatran elephant status is Critically Endangered.
