Due to inclement weather, my bird feeders were busy today! I stood at my back door and took these shots with my Samsung WB1100F. Enjoy!
A male Purple Finch (Carpodacus purpureus) and two females. Purple Finch typically live in woodlands, gardens with trees, and parks.
Two male Purple Finches and two male American Goldfinches (Carduelis tristis). Goldfinches are found in fields, groves, thickets, and farmlands.
Four Purple Finches!
There were actually about 20 birds around these feeders but my deck rail prevented me from getting anything but the hook tops.
The streaks in the photos are raindrops.
