Gastronomy Blog #05 - Table Napkin Folding Techniques: Die Bischofsmütze / The Bishop's Cap

in photography •  8 years ago

Hi Steemit,

in todays gastronomy blog, I want to show you another napkin folding technique, the bishop's cap. It suits best for festive or formal occasions.

Let's get started!

Fold the napkin by half ...

find the middle and fold one edge down ...

and the other edge up, so you get a kind of a rhomb.

Turn the napkin upside down and lay it in front of you like that ...

Then fold the napkin again, so that the right edge looks out at the bottom ...

Then pull out the left edge ...

and unfold it to the top ...

and fold the right tip half in to the middle ...

and fold the left edge down again.

Then turn the napkin around again ...

From now on its easier to keep the napkin in your hands
fold the right tip to the middle ...

and insert it in the slid on the other side.

Now you form the napkin to a nice looking hat, which is hopefully better folded than mine and has nicer look.

Hope you like it!

Stay steemed!
