Hi, guys!
I promised that I will share with you photos from Dracula's castle, and now it's time to do it. Actually the first thing I must say here is that Vlad Dracula didn't live in Bran castle, aka Dracula's castle. He was imprisoned there for 9 days with no food and water by Hungarian king. The reason was - his brother (Vlad's), captured bu Turkish sultan was released only with condition that he will bring a letter to Hungarian king that said that Vlad has sidetracked Turkish empire. Of course it wasn't true, but Turkish sultan captured Dracula's personal clerk, and made him write it.
When Vlad was brought to Hungary the Hungarian king begged for excuse on his knees. He understood that he really did wrong.
But nevertheless exactly this event made the Bran castle connected with name of Vlad Dracula.
By the way, do you know where does the name Transylvania come from? It means "trans sylva" (I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong), and it translated like "behind the forests". And now on the pictures you will see that it really is true. Landscapes are unbelievable!

And what a story about the origins of Dracula and all that Hungarian history! Eastern Europe has got to be added to out travel to-do list.

Well, that place definitely lives up to it's reputation of being gorgeous and spooky! I'd happily spend a lot more than nine days there, but preferably with food and water.

I love all the pictures. They look wonderful. It must be incredibly exciting at the Castle of one of the most famous characters in the world. Besides that it has a magnificent structure. That tells fantastic stories, and all those stories catch my attention. Because they really cause a lot of curiosity. I hope you have really enjoyed your trip.
