Another Skyscape, Another Library Life TalesteemCreated with Sketch.

The weather has been cool today, and we have had intermittent rain. Our library summer reading program is in full swing, and an event that had been planned for our front yard had to be moved to the nearby community center due to the inclement weather. It was for the best all around, because our meeting room had already been scheduled for a board meeting. While the crowd of kids was too big for that space anyway, the program was quite noisy, so it was probably good to distance it further from the super serious people and their super serious meeting.

Now that I am home for the evening, here is the sky looking roughly east. I was hit by a few raindrops while taking this shot, but I think I will survive. There are some patches of blue up there, and the birds are singing their songs as they emerge from wherever they sheltered. I expect they will be interrupted again before long.

I am looking forward to warm weather and sunshine again, but it is probably for the best that we get another damp spell to help ward off forest fire season just a bit more, and a big potential hazard is only two weeks away. Dry forests + Independence Day fireworks = DANGER! Keep it safe and sane, y'all.

Why are the bosses always so serious?
A bit of fun would do them all good.

They aren't always so serious, thank goodness. But this was the monthly meeting with the library board, trustees, and the administration team, plus my manager's annual report. There have been some major issues with other libraries and some interdepartmental communication issues that needed to be sorted out. The boss has been stressing out over this, so we're glad for her sake it's done.

It is surprising how some people have been trained to ignore outside noise and focus on the meeting.
A busy flight line was a good training ground.
Glad things can settle back to normal for you again, enjoy the peace while it lasts.
