English I am neither a very experienced photographer nor do I own an extremely good camera (my mobile phone, "Huawei Mate 8", has to do the job), but nevertheless I tried my best to let appear my little friends, the honey bees (Apis mellifera), as big as possible. :) The photographs have been made on "common dandelion" (Taraxacum officinale) and a violet flowering (Allium) species in our garden. Enjoy the pictures! :) |
Deutsch Ich bin weder ein besonders erfahrener Fotograf noch besitze ich eine außergewöhnlich gute Kamera (mein Smartphone, "Huawei Mate 8", hat die Arbeit zu erledigen), aber nichtsdestotrotz tat ich mein Bestes, meine kleinen Freunde, die Honigbienen (Apis mellifera), diesmal ganz groß erscheinen zu lassen. :) Die Aufnahmen wurden auf "Gewöhnlichem Löwenzahn" (Taraxacum officinale) und einer violett blühenden (Allium)-Art in unserem Garten gemacht. Viel Spaß mit den Fotos! :) |

Very nice to see the bee on the dandelion. in spring I know that the dandelion is one of the first nectar sources to raise brood and start comb building.
Did you know that you can make a dandelion salve, quite easily?
Infuse the flowers in some heated sunflower oil an set away for some weeks in the dark. You get a very yellow active oil. If you mix that with some beeswax and coconutoil, it feels amazing.
