Picture Stories #301 - Parrot Paradise

in photography •  6 years ago  (edited)

I had talked about my visit to the Jurong Bird Park and how eventful and exciting the the trip was; getting to experience diverse and exquisite varieties of avian beauties up close and personal was truly memorable. There were various types of exhibits inside the bird park, each showing birds from a different part of the globe or belonging to a certain section or species of the bird family. One such interesting and colorful spot was called the "Parrot Paradise" which housed birds related to the parrot family. The entrance sign itself was quite colorful and attractive, and the birds inside were even more eye-grabbing.

We got to see lots of Macaws, to be precise the Hyacinth Macaw which is apparently the largest parrot in the world. These birds in blue color looked majestic and were truly very beautiful.

We encountered another interesting bird called the Yellow-shouldered amazon, and going by it's appearance you can make out why it is named so.

There was a Yellow-faced Parrot too, and it was as interesting as its cousin.

We also saw a parrot that looked like the ones we normally encounter and are commonly found as pets in households.

Great Pics of the Parrot Paradise. I've been to another parrot reserve in Tennessee. They are very nice places. Great colors on these parrots.

Mad parrot is mad!

I've found a comment somewhere - the guy had to destroy the cage in front of the bird so he could accept a new, better one. Round cages are also supposedly bad for parrots.

Great post and pics
