I have no idea what this tree is, but this was close to a Lake and its beautiful bark caught my eye.
I love taking pictures that give you a different perspective, and indicate depth and dimension.
The beautiful textures invite you touch it, and of course, the temptation was too great to resist.
It feels, as it looks; the outer bark is tough, cracked and jagged but not sharp. Beyond that, it's smooth. I'm sure the age of the tree can be revealed in its beautiful bark.
