LSCOTTPHOTOS PhotoPoll #5 - How do you stay inspired?

in photography •  8 years ago

Notice that the question does not ask what inspires you. Inspiration comes in many shapes and forms… it differs for each individual. Many things – surreal photography, nature, wildlife, emotions, art, etc. inspire me.

The fifth question of our PhotoPoll is…

How do you stay inspired?

It’s a tricky question that requires some thought. Inspiration may strike at any given moment and vanish on a whim.

So how can you harness that creative energy to work for you?

What do you do when your photos don’t turn out the way you want?

What do you do when your camera seems too heavy to pick up?

What do you do when that bird flies away a second before you snap the picture?

I do not know how to stay inspired so I do not have a properly articulated answer. That is the main reason I am asking this question for today’s PhotoPoll. I am interested in the answers we will see!

Upvote if you enjoyed the question and please comment below!

*Note: I've considered adding a reward for those who comment with genuine answers... sort of like a contest. However, I feel as if this negates the whole purpose of the PhotoPoll. This series is intended to create valuable content, genuine conversation, and fresh ideas for those interested in photography, whether as a hobby or a profession. I feel that adding a reward of SBD or Steem would strip away the importance of our answers and encourage less genuine responses.

I'm new in photo. So I have lots of mistakes and so on. And the only thing that inspires me is that I like the process. I 'm not working just for result. I enjoy every moment of it. This is my secret:)

That is a good answer, enjoying the process :) Thank you for commenting!

Just go with the flow. Anything boring might get interesting. Look at my last posts. They were about making boring shots interesting in PS.
Don't like a photo? Delete it. It's just a photo, don't get attached.
Cameras are lightweight... I even hold my camera while driving with my bike.
Wait for another bird or change topic.

The hardest part is just getting out there. It's a cakewalk after that.

That's exactly what I mean - "getting out there is the hardest part" haha! I like your advice about going with the flow. I need to remember that more often because I'm usually an OCD perfectionist and I end up getting way too frustrated way too quickly :) Thanks for commenting!
