Here we are at the halfway point! Wow, after you post today, you will have completed half of #Dolphinschool bootcamp. It's been a fun five days. We've made new friends, gained a ton of new followers, made a little money, but mostly learned a lot about we're actually capable of here on steemit!

There is so much more to come!

In the next five days, we'll be digging deeper to share truly inspiring stories with our readers, learning about additional ways to make money using steemit. Exploring cross platform promotion, and just having a lot of fun. So, buckle up, I know what you're capable of now and if you think I'm going to take it easy on you, you haven't been paying attention!

A picture of a vast open field, I usually like to think of it like an open canvas.

Homework Day 5

What is the most powerful visual to you? A favorite painting, a view of the mountains, etc.

Anything nature related. I love camping and getting out and exploring the world. My dad was a freelance photographer and he has some amazing shots from all of the vacations we took when I was a kid.

The best comments I have gotten so far are some of the feedback from my Chrome Extensions post. Lot's of engaging stuff there. It would be hard to pick just one from that post.

I have added close to 45 new followers since starting this and my goal was 20, so I am doing well with that. I think I would like to see 300 total followers by then end. That would be an increase of about 100 from where I am now.

My upvotes haven't been where I expected honestly. I knew it was potentially going to be a struggle to find my place. I have to be honest I am pretty discouraged by that at the moment. My average is 5-10 upvotes per post for about 5 to 50 cents.

I had installed the steepshot app on my phone, but hadn't really taken the time to play around with it. So I tried it out today and posted this:

So, I would start looking at your views count. It may be you're getting a lot of readers, but not many votes, because they don't see a curation reward in it. That's something you just overcome with time as you develop enough regular voters to get that going.

WHAT?? That is amazing! If you continue to produce at that level, at least three times a week, that would be 260 NEW followers a month! You are killing it!!!!!!! HOMEWORK DAY 5

My assignment for today [When Pigs Fly](Hey! Checkout blog post on eSteem! esteem://animals/@magicalmoonlight/when-pigs-fly-6c3adea9a0d16)

I do everything on my phone and I signed up for steemconnect but I could not figure out how to get photos to load from my phone. I will keep working on figuring it out but I hope I'm not disqualified from today's assignment! Here's proof that I really did try :)

PART 1
1.My favorite visual would probably be sunsets. They are just beautiful all of the time. Sunsets over water to be exact.

2.Here is one of my favorite comments since joining this class. All of them are amazing comments though!

3.Stats- I started with 66 followers and I now have 101. Total up votes on assignments is 52. Total payouts-$2.48

I'm 35 followers away from achieving my goal of 50.

Part 1, Questions:

The most powerful visual for me is a painting or photo that makes me want to drop my reality and be in that reality, if even for just a moment. Nothing has given me this sensation stronger than the paintings of Thomas Kinkade... Those idyllic cottages, cobblestoned streets and purely magical nature scenes have captured my imagination for years.
Oh, hard one! So many wonderful, supportive comments! Of course, your own, Mark, have been extremely motivating. But out of the others, I'd have to choose this one by @lahvista <3

Things have turned to custard for me today and I haven't been able to do any of the assignment. It's looking like I might be tied up for a couple of days and to boot I seem to have the flu coming on. I'm really sorry that I won't be able to finish #dolphinscool :( and wondered if you'd mind if I kept doing what I can without you having to critique my work.
