Moon photography #7 (2 videos)

in photography •  8 years ago  (edited)

As well as the photograph I took during my last moon photography session, I also took a couple of videos.

One was taken on a tripod, and the footage gives you an idea of how quickly the moon travels across the sky and also shows the effect of the atmospheric turbulence on the image.

The other was taken handheld, and gives you an idea of the stability and quality you can obtain with the Nikon P900 at maximum zoom without using a tripod.

Handheld footage

The telescope camera in action again! Nice!

Great!

That is the most amazing footage of the moon I have ever seen!

Thank you! And thank you for the Tweet and Resteem! :)

Will be taking some pictures of Jupiter later in the year when it gets a little closer :-)

Wow - I didn't even know that would be possible without a huge telescope!

You can zoom enough to resolve Saturn's rings, which I will also try when I get the chance! :)

Wow! I think the problem will be stabilisation even with a really good tripod - carbon fibre are the best, also atmospheric variations will become much more prominent.

NP:)

Brill footage :)

Alien base at 0:44 ... disclosure is near!

:b

That's no moon! ;)

Nice work!

Lovely pictures! Really!

Now we're talking! This is so cool man. "Live photography". And really good ones too!
