After waiting many months, I finally have the small pile of 35mm rolls developed, as a result of @irial taking the rolls to Spain with her where it's significantly more affordable to develop film.

I'm incredibly happy to have the pictures, and even more happy about the results. Some of the pictures are the best I've taken and it's rewarding to see constant improvements in the format.

These images were taken last year, mostly around the summer months. I shot them on my Canon AE-1 with Kodak Tri-X 400 35mm film. I believe this was the first time I shot black and white film.

I really like the film grain from this film stock, and the way shadows look strong but smooth and gentle. They don't pop-in or feel out of place, they blend nicely into the composition.

Tri-x is a great film. The grain structure holds together very well. The shadow detail is very good too, even when it is a tad unexposed. I would suggest comparing it to Ilford Delta 400. Personally, I like a lot of grain for scenes like this and tend toward Delta 3200; makes for great skin texture too. Keep shooting, strong images!

I think I still need to try Delta, I have only shot two rolls of black and white film so far, and I absolutely love it. I feel like black and white focuses more on composition and shadows which allows for more artistic shots.

Pretty stuff indeed. I like the overall look and feel. Cool that you found a way to develop your film in a more affordable way. I'm looking forward to see more.

It's crazy that to get four rolls developed it was the same price as just one roll here. I'm excited to post them too, since I've been a bit lazy lately with studying and ensuring curation maintains.

I know a week has passed but that's no reason to not comment on some good photography. Just lovely.
